Music will play a symbolic role in Thursday evening’s November 13 memorial ceremony in Paris, representing the “sense of celebration” that came under attack when terrorists ten years ago targeted regular Parisians spending their Friday night in bars, restaurants, sports arenas and concert halls.

The ceremony will include English language rock music, similar in style to the Eagles of Death Metal who were playing a concert at the Bataclan when the venue was targeted by attackers. It will also feature a song dedicated to the victims of the attacks, as survivors explained to FRANCE 24.
