Russia carried out another large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure early Saturday, triggering explosions across Kyiv and cutting power to around 1.2 million properties nationwide. In the capital, nearly 6,000 buildings were left without heating as temperatures hovered near −10°C (14°F), with many apartments already freezing due to earlier damage to the city’s centralised heating system.
