Israeli forces destroyed bridges they said were used by Hezbollah to cross the key Litani river, north of the border. The attack has sparked concern that a large-scale Israeli ground invasion could be in the works, with the Lebanese president calling the bombing ‘collective punishment’ and ‘a flagrant violation of sovereignty’.
