French political crisis: ‘A divided country with a divided representation’ • FRANCE 24 English
Eléonore Caroit, a member of President Emmanuel Macron’s Renaissance party and an MP for French citizens living abroad, tells FRANCE 24 that she does not support a call for snap elections. “Do I think it’s going to be any different if we call for elections today? I’m afraid it won’t be radically different,” she notes. “What we’re seeing is that we have a divided country with a divided representation, and it is our duty as MPs to actually find a way [forward].”
