French government will have to find compromise with MPs to get budget through • FRANCE 24 English
After surviving the riskiest of two motions of no-confidence in Parliament, the French government will now have to work to find compromise with MPs to settle on a budget before the end of the year. Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu promised he would not be using the 49.3 law, which allows to force legislation through without requiring Parliamentary votes.
