‘Wicked’ Composer Stephen Schwartz Says He’ll Back Out Of Kennedy Center Hosting Gig

Stephen Schwartz, the Oscar-winning composer behind musicals like “Wicked,” told Newsday he will back out of hosting an event at the Kennedy Center because it is no longer an “apolitical place for free artistic expression” after President Trump took over the cultural center and put his name on it.
