Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said he was prepared to hold talks with President Trump on tackling drug trafficking and American investments into his country’s oil reserves, in an interview published on New Year’s Day, as the U.S. escalates its military campaign in the region, including an alleged drone strike on a Venezuelan port.
