Newsom Predicts ‘Other States Will Follow Suit’ With California’s New Law Unmasking ICE Agents
During a press conference on Saturday, Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) predicted other states would follow suit with the No Secret Police Act, which penalizes “officers who are found to have committed an assault, battery, false imprisonment, false arrest, abuse of process, or malicious prosecution while willfully and knowingly covering their face,” according to a press release by the law’s author, Scott Weiner.
