Food companies urged to provide healthier food choices for Bajans
Minister of Educational Transformation Chad Blackman has challenged food companies in the private sector to provide more nutritious options for Barbadians.

Speaking at a motorcade as part of the Turning Around Campaign, organised by the Heart and Stroke Foundation, he reiterated the call for zero tolerance for the consumption of processed foods in schools.

Minister Blackman is now urging food companies to create healthier options not only for children but for all citizens of Barbados.

One of the youth activists for the Turning Around Campaign, Michron Robinson, also called on the public to stand up and get on board with the initiative.

She believes that once Barbadians pay more attention to their health, it can create a positive ripple effect.
