US: Ammonia Leak Hospitalises Dozens In Oklahoma | Subscribe to Firstpost | N18G

Dozens were hospitalised after a major ammonia leak triggered late-night evacuations in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Officials say 36 people were taken to hospital, including 11 in critical condition, after ammonia escaped from a tanker parked behind a hotel. Around 500 people were evacuated to a nearby shelter as emergency teams worked through the night. 14 officers were exposed to the toxic gas, with five suffering burn injuries. No deaths have been reported, and most victims are now stable while several remain in intensive care.
