US President Donald Trump warned that the country may have to “unwind” trade deals, including with the European Union, Japan and South Korea, if his administration loses a Supreme Court case on tariffs. An appeals court ruled on August 29 that many of Trump’s tariffs were “illegal.” On September 3, Trump said his government would seek Supreme Court review. At the White House he noted that if the case is lost, the US economy would “suffer greatly.”
