Fifteen sick children from Gaza, accompanied by their families, arrived in Italy on Monday evening to receive treatment at hospitals across the country. The evacuation is part of an Italian government initiative to offer medical aid to children either injured in the conflict or unable to access care due to the destruction of Gaza’s hospitals. According to Italy’s Foreign Ministry, a total of 196 children and 454 relatives have been brought to Italy so far under the medical evacuation programme.
