Nepal: Floor Test Likely For PM Oli After Alliance Partner Withdraws Support
In Nepal, the Nagarik Unmukti Party has withdrawn support from the ruling alliance led by Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. The decision followed the removal of its minister, Rameshwor Chaudhary, from Sudurpaschim’s provincial government. The decision was taken during a parliamentary party meeting held on Saturday in Kathmandu. According to the country’s constitutional provision, Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is now obliged to seek a vote of confidence in the House of Representatives.
