US President Donald Trump hosted Russia’s Vladimir Putin in Anchorage, Alaska, for talks on the Ukraine War. Both Trump and Putin hailed “productive and constructive talks”. There has been no announcement of a ceasefire. Donald Trump said, “No deal until there’s a deal,” and added that there is a good chance of a deal soon. Russian President Putin said that he expects Kyiv and Europe to perceive the agreements of the Alaska Summit constructively. Putin added that he hoped that Kyiv and Europe would not torpedo the progress. The Russian President also said there wouldn’t have been a war had Trump been in power in 2022. US President Trump will now speak to Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky and NATO leaders about talks held with Putin in Alaska.
