Extreme weather ravaged parts of Jammu & Kashmir (J&K). Heavy rains triggered a landslide in Reasi district, killing seven members of a family. A cloudburst in Ramban district killed at least four, while at least one remains missing. The cloudburst triggered flash floods in the Rajgarh area of Ramban. Search and rescue operations are underway in J&K after gushing water swept away houses and damaged infrastructure. Torrential rains have also blocked the key Jammu-Srinagar highway, inundated several inter-district roads, cutting off dozens of villages. Incessant rainfall has also disrupted train services. An Orange alert has been issued in Poonch, Kishtwar, Jammu, Ramban and Udhampur for heavy rains.
