I don’t want to destroy his political career.” Trump also claimed that PM Modi has assured Washington that New Delhi will stop buying oil from Russia soon, in what he believes would bring peace to war-torn Ukraine. India’s consistent priority is to safeguard the interests of the Indian consumer in a volatile energy scenario, New Delhi has said in response to US President Donald Trump’s claim.
