The Democratic Republic of Congo has acquired over 100 Kasser II mine-resistant, ambush-protected vehicles from the UAE-based International Golden Group in a $70 million deal. Designed to withstand explosives, improvised explosive devices, and small-arms fire, some vehicles are equipped with 20 mm cannons or 12.7 mm machine guns. The 4×4 armoured vehicles can carry up to 11 troops, offering protection and mobility in conflict zones. They are set to be deployed in eastern DRC, where government forces have long battled dozens of armed groups. Beyond the Congo, Togo has also adopted the Kasser II.
