India’s festive sales kicked off with a bang as Amazon and Flipkart posted record day-one numbers, while Q-commerce platforms like Swiggy Instamart, Zepto, and Flipkart Minutes also reported massive order surges. Electronics and iPhones led the charts, with GST rate cuts further boosting demand. Despite some customer complaints over pricing and cancellations, overall festive e-commerce sales are projected to cross ₹1.2 lakh crore, up 27% YoY, with Q-commerce contributing $1.6B.
