FairPrice freezes prices of 100 daily essentials, doubles CHAS discounts until end-May
The prices of 100 types of daily essentials — such as eggs, rice and cooking oil — will remain the same at all stores of FairPrice from tomorrow until end-May. Singapore’s biggest supermarket operator said the price freeze is to help Singaporeans in this period of unprecedented disruptions to global energy networks and supply chain infractions. The list is derived from items purchased by more than nine in 10 CHAS Blue and Orange customers. Those holding these cards will also enjoy discounts that will double to 6%.
