Eyewitness News ABC7NY New vaccine recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics defy CDC guidelines

The American Academy of Pediatrics is following its own doctors’ advice about vaccines. A new schedule released Monday is marginally modified from last year’s guidance. And stands in stark contrast to the government’s recent and controversial recommendations. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention drastically lowered the number of suggested vaccines for all children. The AAP is maintaining its prior immunization schedule and suggests asking a pediatrician about flu and COVID shots.
