Eyewitness News ABC7NY Delivery robot crashes into bus shelter shattering glass

A delivery robot was seen struggling through shards of glass after crashing into a bus shelter in Chicago on Sunday, March 22.

Jason Peterson captured this footage in the aftermath of the collision, which led to a glass wall of the CTA Grand and Racine bus shelter on Racine Avenue shattering.

The video shows the autonomous vehicle named Nasir attempting to continue driving through the debris. Glass is also seen on top of the delivery robot as it wheels itself backwards and forwards with difficulty before coming to a stop.

Peterson’s video went viral on TikTok, with the source joking that the “crime rate in Chicago is out of control.”
