EU Launches Attack On Russian Energy: Sabotaging Trump-Putin Meet To Halt Ukraine War?| Gas Import
European Union officials announced a sweeping energy policy shift by unveiling the so-called “Freedom Package”, a regulation to end all Russian gas imports by the end of 2027. The move aims to weaken Moscow’s energy revenues and marks a strategic pivot toward renewables and nuclear power. Danish ministers Lars Aagaard and Dan Jorgensen said the new policy will sever Russia’s access to EU energy markets, strengthen energy security, and prevent further price hikes.
