Ego Nwodim shocks fans by announcing her exit from ‘Saturday Night Live’ on Friday, less than a month before the premiere of season 51 on Oct. 4. Ego joined the sketch show in 2018 and was expected to return after a big cast shakeup in August. Five cast members were dropped, including Ego’s close friend, Heidi Gardner. ET is told, ‘circumstances changed and Ego has now decided to pursue other opportunities.’
