बिहार के बाद पूरे देश में स्पेशल इंटेसिव रिवीजन की प्रक्रिया होनी है। इस बारे में जानकारी देते हुए मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार ने कहा कि बिहार में स्पेशल इंटेंसिव रिवीजन की प्रक्रिया को सफलता पूर्वक पूरा करने के बाद इसका दूसरा चरण शुरू किया जाएगा। उन्होंने बताया कि एसआईआर का दूसरा चरण नौ राज्यों और तीन केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों में होगा। इस दौरान चुनाव आयोग ने साफ किया कि इस प्रक्रिया का उद्देश्य योग्य वोटरों को लिस्ट में शामिल करना और अयोग्य वोटरों को मतदाता सूची से बाहर करना है। मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ने बताया कि देश में आखिरी बार स्पेशल इंटेंसिव रिवीजन 21 साल पहले हुआ था। अब इसमें बदलाव जरूरी है।

He told that the second phase of SIR will be conducted in nine states and three union territories. During this, the Election Commission clarified that the purpose of this process is to include eligible voters in the list and exclude ineligible voters from the voter list. The Chief Election Commissioner said that the last time Special Intensive Revision was conducted in the country was 21 years ago. Now a change in this is necessary.
