Our military intelligence authorities have revealed that North Korea has the capability to conduct a nuclear test at any time if it decides to do so.

We have dismantled our loudspeakers for broadcasting to North Korea, but it has been revealed that North Korea has, on the contrary, installed new loudspeakers.

This is the Punggye-ri nuclear test site, where North Korea has conducted six nuclear tests.

It is known that there are a total of four tunnels here, and the Defense Intelligence Agency has stated that an additional nuclear test using Tunnel No. 3 is possible.

North Korea is creating various nuclear warhead production facilities, and in particular, for the recently unveiled small lightweight nuclear warhead, the Hwasan-31, it needs to conduct explosive tests to verify its reliability, and it is prepared to do so.

We stopped broadcasting via loudspeakers to North Korea in June and dismantled the loudspeakers, but it has been confirmed that North Korea has actually increased its loudspeaker facilities.

Currently, there are over 40 loudspeakers installed for broadcasting to South Korea, maintaining a ‘constant operation’ status, and the military explained that maintenance and inspections are ongoing.

The military also stated that North Korea, which has repeatedly failed in satellite launches, is working to secure military reconnaissance satellites with higher resolution.

It has been reported that there are signs of preparations for additional launches with technical support from Russia.
