Colombia’s Petro Stuns Trump & Netanyahu Over Gaza Peace Plan, Urges US Army To Revolt
Colombian President Gustavo Petro sharply escalated his criticism of U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, declaring Trump “complicit in genocide” in Gaza and urging that he, like Netanyahu, should face arrest under the International Criminal Court’s Rome Statute. Petro argued that international law permits member states—including Colombia—to detain individuals indicted by the ICC, and questioned why Netanyahu has not been arrested in the U.S. He also announced Colombia will terminate its free trade agreement with Israel, warning coal exporters to comply or face expropriation.
