CNN Trump and Zelensky meet for Ukraine peace talks

“We have the makings of a deal,” President Donald Trump told reporters ahead of a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Florida Sunday, adding that he believes both Kyiv and Moscow want to end the war and that negotiations are nearing their final stages. Any potential peace deal would need buy-in from Russian President Vladimir Putin, who spoke with Trump before Zelensky’s visit. Trump and Putin agreed to speak again after the meeting.
