Lyft CEO on if robotaxis will eliminate the need for drivers: ‘I don’t see that happening’
Lyft CEO David Risher said on Wednesday that he does not see a driverless future “anytime soon.”
Risher explained specific scenarios, such as a rush hour commute or ride home from a football game, where “you don’t really necessarily care whether it’s self-driving or not.”
“You need drivers to make sure that you’ve got enough capacity,” he said.
