Former SEC Chair says regulators would scrutinize trading ahead of Trump post
Volume in S&P 500 and oil futures spiked on Monday roughly 15 minutes before President Donald Trump said the U.S. and Iran held talks over the weekend and that strikes on Iranian infrastructure would be halted.

“Any move like that in advance of any announcement, the regulators are going to look at,” Jay Clayton, a former chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission, said Wednesday on CNBC.
