American Airlines CEO on FAA flight cuts due to government shutdown
American Airlines CEO Robert Isom, discussing the FAA’s flight cuts due to the government shutdown, said Friday “we don’t need to be in this position.”

Isom said American is doing all it can to limit the impact of its flight cancellations, noting that the carrier has only cancelled 220 flights compared to its 6,200 on the schedule and that it is working with customers to rebook their travel plans.
