US President Donald Trump singled out Democrats during his State of the Union address, commanding US lawmakers to stand up if they agreed with his assertion: “The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens.”

Several Democrats, including Senator Mark Kelly and Ilhan Omar remained seated, with Omar shouting out, “You’ve killed Americans!”
