CNA WSH report: Platform workers’ fatal and major injury rate higher than rest of workforce

The fatal and major injury rate among platform workers was more than five times higher than the rest of the workforce in 2025, with most cases linked to delivery work. Most injuries were also due to vehicular incidents, with riders of two-wheelers more vulnerable. The findings come from the annual Workplace Safety and Health report, which includes data on platform workers for the first time. CNA speaks to Abu Bakar Mohd Nor, Chairman of the Workplace Safety and Health Council.
