CNA Wild elephant charges at vehicles along Malaysia highway

Motorists had a close shave with a wild elephant along the East–West Highway near the Perak–Kelantan border in Malaysia on Tuesday (Jan 6).

In dashcam footage shared on TikTok, a tusked elephant is seen approaching a car before suddenly charging, forcing the driver to reverse. The animal then turns its attention to a nearby pick-up truck, which backs away and swerves to avoid a collision.

The woman who uploaded the video said her husband was driving the pick-up truck at the time and that their children were in the vehicle. #malaysia #malaysianews
