CNA US seizes 2 Venezuela-linked oil tankers including Russian ship

The United States seized two Venezuela-linked oil tankers in the Atlantic on Wednesday (Jan 7), including a Russian-flagged vessel that US forces had pursued for weeks.

The seizures are part of President Donald Trump’s aggressive push to dictate oil ⁠flows in the Americas and force Venezuela’s socialist government to become an ally.
