CNA US military showed ‘unmatched’ capability in Maduro operation, says top general

The United States captured Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife in an overnight military operation, following months of efforts to track his movements, General Dan Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said on Saturday (Jan 3).

“Our intelligence teams worked for months to understand Maduro’s patterns — where he travelled, what he ate, even what pets he kept,” Caine said, emphasising the extensive preparation. The operation involved over 150 aircraft and multiple branches of the military in a coordinated effort to extract Maduro from Caracas.
