CNA US-EU relations: European Parliament passes trade deal with additional safeguards

After months of uncertainty and several delays, European lawmakers have approved a trade deal with the US, with conditions. Four hundred and seventeen of the 642 EU assembly members backed the deal. Lawmakers called for safeguards, as they are concerned Washington may not abide by the deal, which was struck in Scotland last year. William Denselow reports for CNA from Brussels.
