CNA US envoy Rubio pushes allies on Iran at G7 summit amid Trump’s criticism of NATO

The second day of the G7 summit saw US Secretary of State Marco Rubio locked in talks to make the case for the war on Iran. This, after US President Donald Trump rebuked NATO for its inaction. G7 foreign ministers have also confirmed they will raise the issue of Russia’s support for Tehran. Before arriving in Brussels, Mr Rubio said he wasn’t at the summit “to make anyone happy” and that he doesn’t work for France or Germany or Japan.
