CNA Trump says US oversight of Venezuela could last years: New York Times

Donald Trump says the US could be running Venezuela and extracting its oil reserves for years. He made the comment during an interview with the New York Times. The US leader’s assertion comes after American forces seized two oil tankers linked to Venezuela in international waters. One of them was sailing under a Russian flag. US officials say the ship, known as the Marin-era, is part of a shadow fleet transporting sanctioned oil. US forces intercepted a second tanker carrying Venezuelan oil in the Caribbean Sea.
