CNA Trump interrupts Cabinet meeting on war and rising prices to talk about Sharpie markers

US President Donald Trump interrupted his first Cabinet meeting since the start of the Iran war to talk about Sharpie markers for 5 minutes.

His comments came after US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, envoy Steve Witkoff, Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke about missile strikes and US troops.

President Trump said using the US$5 markers instead of US$1,000 ballpoint pens saves the government money.

“I love the government like I love myself, economically,” he said. “I want to save money.”
