CNA Tourist attacked by snow leopard at popular China ski destination

A female tourist was bitten in the face by a snow leopard at a popular skiing area in China’s Xinjiang region on Jan 23. She had moved close to the animal to take photos and reportedly attempted to touch it, according to eyewitnesses.

The rare incident happened at the Keketuohai Scenic Area and authorities have since stepped up safety patrols. #china #chinanews
