Smooth commutes on first day of service adjustments on East-West Line for construction work

Commuters say their rides on the East-West Line were smooth on the first day that two stations are closed for construction. Transport operator SMRT says it has deployed 10 times more manpower to guide commuters at affected stations throughout the shutdown, which includes one that branches off to Changi Airport. Authorities are carrying out works over 10 days to connect the line to the new East Coast Integrated Depot. Service is expected to be restored on Dec 9. Claudia Lim with more.
