Singapore should be a “launch pad” for local companies to expand abroad, Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong said on Thursday (Jan 29), adding that the government will support those who are willing to.

Mr Gan also cited a potential partnership between a local company and American memory chip maker Micron Technologies as an example of how local companies can tap on global MNCs to help expand abroad.
