CNA Singapore and ASEAN to stay open and inclusive despite global rivalries: PM Wong

Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong says the country and the wider ASEAN region will remain open and inclusive despite growing tensions among major powers. Speaking after visits to China’s Hainan Province and Hong Kong, he stressed the importance of maintaining ties with all partners, including China, Japan and the United States. As Singapore prepares to assume the ASEAN chairmanship, Mr Wong also highlighted opportunities in regional economic integration and sub-regional cooperation. Deborah Wong reports.
