This school year brings tighter rules on screen time. Secondary school students are not allowed to use smartphones or smartwatches during school hours, as the Education Ministry tries to build healthier digital habits. But as classrooms lean more on AI and smart devices, how do parents make sense of it all? In the third part of a week-long Back to School special, we were joined by two guests who discussed whether there is an inherent contradiction in banning smartphone use in schools while also pushing digital learning tools.
