CNA Newly reopened Bukit Batok Library features soundscapes, interactive displays

At the newly reopened Bukit Batok Library, sounds of nature are helping readers to block out distractions of city life and focus on reading. It is also piloting new technology to help visitors discover more books, beyond what’s available on the physical shelves. The refreshed library now takes up spaces across three floors of West Mall, almost doubling its seating. Selected zones will also stay open after regular hours, giving late visitors a little extra time in this new sanctuary. Beatrice Yap reports.
