CNA Modi in Tel Aviv to deepen defence and economic ties; declares support for Israel in Knesset remarks

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared suppport for Israel as he addressed the Knesset on Wednesday (Feb 25), after meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He visited the country for the first time since the war in Gaza began, and amid rising risks of a military conflict between Washington and Tehran. A US attack on Iran could draw Iranian retaliation against Israel and US military facilities in the Middle East – where millions of Indians live and work and send home billions of dollars each year.
