CNA Miss Universe 2025: Miss Mexico wins title after host insult drama

Miss Mexico Fatima Bosch has been crowned the new Miss Universe in Thailand on Friday (Nov 21) – marking the end of a scandal-filled pageant season.

The 25-year-old contestant had earlier in November walked out of a pageant event after Thai organiser Nawat Itsaragrisil publicly berated her in front of dozens of contestants calling her a “dumb head” and threatened to disqualify those who supported her.

After the incident sparked global outrage, Itsaragrisil apologised, but at a separate press conference, claimed he hadn’t called Bosch a “dumb head,” saying he had meant “damage” instead. #missuniverse2025 #fatimabosch
