CNA Malaysian rapper Namewee released from remand amid influencer murder probe

Malaysian rapper Namewee was released on police bail on Thursday (Nov 13) after a week in remand, amid a murder probe into the death of Taiwanese influencer Iris Hsieh Yu-hsin.
The rapper, whose real name is Wee Meng Chee, left Dang Wangi police headquarters, where he had been in custody, at around 3.50pm without speaking to the media.
Malaysia’s Attorney-General Dusuki Mokhtar earlier said there is no evidence showing that Wee caused Hsieh’s death. #malaysianews #malaysia #irishsieh #namewee
