CNA Major EU-MERCOSUR trade deal could be signed despite opposition by European farm lobbies

A major trade deal could be signed in a matter of days, creating the world’s largest free-trade area. It is the EU-MERCOSUR pact, involving the European bloc and five South American countries – Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay. But that is still dependent on winning over some of the strongest farm lobbies opposed to the deal. William Denselow reports from Brussels.
