CNA Hong Kong fire: Construction company used unsafe materials, was ‘grossly negligent’, say police

Hong Kong police believe the deadly fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po may have been spread by unsafe scaffolding and foam materials used during maintenance work. The death toll from the fire that started on Wednesday (Nov 26) has risen to 44.

Three men from a construction company have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter over the fire.
